On July, 11, 2018, CEO of American Ethane, John Houghtaling met with Ambassador of China Cui Tiankai at the China US forum. Houghtaling and the ambassador discussed how AEC’s exports to China could reduce the US/China deficient in a way that is a win win for both Countries. Houghtaling stated “I was pleased to see the Ambassador again who witnessed American Ethane first supply agreement signed before President Trump and President Xu in Beijing. It was an honor to share a joint sentiment with Ambassador Tiankai that the American Ethane supply agreements with our customers in China present what the Chinese call a “win win.” The agreement promotes US interests of reducing the US/China deficient, and the export of clean US gas, and at the same time provides an economic benefit to China”
America Ethane has entered into three conditionally binding contracts to supply 7.2 million tons of Ethane to three ethane to ethylene cracker projects in China.
